Rabbi Diana Gerson is the Associate Executive Vice President of The New York Board of Rabbis (NYBR), where she has served since 2005. At the NYBR, the primary focus of her work has been to advance the NYBR's leadership role in confronting family violence, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and the exploitation of children by reaching across faith communities.
Rabbi Diana also serves as a member of the Interfaith Alliance for Safer Communities Secretariat and was a member of its steering committee for the Child Dignity in a Digital World global forum held in Abu Dhabi in November 2018. She has dedicated her rabbinate to bringing interfaith leaders together to address the unique challenges that our society faces today, focusing on the well-being of children and supporting and empowering families. She provides workshops for thousands of civil society members, faith actors, and community leaders, whose role she considers critical to ending all forms of violence and exploitation against children and their families.
In 2019, Rabbi Diana founded RDSG & Co., a boutique consulting firm focused on strengthening the work of faith-based and interfaith non-government organizations (NGOs). Her mission is to empower her clients' strategic objectives and advance the success of their vital missions, working to drive societal change.
In 2024, Rabbi Diana co-founded the Global Advocacy Hub for Children and Families with her soul sister, Dana Humaid Al Marzooqi. Our shared vision is to create lasting, positive change for vulnerable children and families worldwide. The Hub is designed to be a powerful platform that bridges gaps, unites research with grassroots advocacy, and fosters collaboration to address the critical issues of our time, such as poverty, resource scarcity, conflict, climate change, and displacement.
In addition, Rabbi Diana is a member of the Child Dignity Alliance steering committee. She is a member of its Building a Multi-Faith Coalition to Protect Children in the Digital World working group. She is also the country coordinator for the Global Network of Religions for Children/USA (GNRC/USA). Locally, Rabbi Diana is a clergy liaison for the New York Police Department Community Affairs Bureau and is a member of the NYC Mayor's Jewish Advisory Council.
